JOVITA CHI CHARITY FOUNDATION is a registered nonprofit, non-governmental, and non-political organization, based in the United States and Nigeria. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the foundation is dedicated to charitable, educational, and public service activities that improve the health and well-being of those living in the Ahiazu Mbaise communities of Imo State Nigeria.
The Jovita Chi Foundation began as an independent charity effort by then-nurse Jovita Chinenye Ike in 2014. At the time, Dr. Ike was a registered nurse, wife, and mother living and working in Maryland, USA. During her annual visits to Nigeria, she observed the rising challenges in her home region of Imo State, including health issues, poverty, housing crises, educational barriers, and limited access to affordable nutrition. Recognizing her unique position, she committed to giving back and transforming the lives of her community.
What started as a humble family initiative involving herself, her husband, and their four children, grew into an international effort supported by volunteers, financial donors, and health organizations from both the United States and Nigeria.
As of 2024, the Jovita Chi Foundation, named after Princess Chief Dr. Mrs. Jovita Chinenye Ike, DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, FNP-BC, is a newly incorporated nonprofit, non-governmental, and non-political Indigenous organization. It was established in both the United States and Nigeria with a core mission to positively impact humanity. The Foundation is officially registered in both countries, aiming to provide healthcare services, education, and, most importantly, empowerment to the underprivileged. Our goal is to inspire hope and dignity, enabling individuals to lead fulfilling, productive lives and alleviate the suffering of those in need.
Dear Friends and Supporters,
As a registered nurse with a doctorate in nursing and a family nurse practitioner (FNP), I bring a wealth of experience and knowledge to our foundation. My name is Princess Chief, Dr. Mrs. Jovita Chinenye Ike.
Our mission, clear from the beginning, is to bring about meaningful change in the lives of those who need it most. We are committed to addressing healthcare, education, poverty, environmental sustainability, and empowerment. I am proud to say that we have already made significant strides in these areas, and we are determined to continue this progress.
Our challenges today are vast and complex, but we can make a real difference with compassion, dedication, and a shared sense of purpose. Our work is not just about providing resources—empowering individuals and communities to overcome obstacles, seize opportunities, and build a future filled with hope and possibility.
As we continue this journey, I invite you to join us—whether through volunteering, donating, or simply spreading the word about our cause. Together, we can create a world where everyone has the opportunity to thrive, and you can be proud of the impact you’ve had in making this a reality.
Thank you for standing with us, for your unwavering support, and for the sacrifices you have made to be a part of this important work. Your commitment is truly appreciated and inspires us to continue our mission.
With gratitude and hope,
Princess Chief Dr. Mrs. Jovita Chinenye Ike DNP, MSN, BSN, RN, FNP-BC
